About Dr Vibha Gupta
Dr Vibha Gupta has dedicated her life to bringing science and technological innovation to rural India for enhancing rural entrepreneurship, employment, and sustainable village development. She is the Chairperson of Magan Sangrahalaya Samiti (MSS) and the Founder-Director of the Centre of Science for Villages (CSV), Wardha, Maharashtra.

Education & Academic Achievements:
✓ B.A. in Economics – Delhi University
✓ Master's in Social Work
✓ Postgraduate Degrees in Social Science – Canada & Netherlands (1980)
✓ Ph.D. – "Transfer of Technology amongst Rural Women" – IIT New Delhi (1993)

For over 30 years, Dr Gupta has worked on developing and promoting appropriate technologies for rural employment generation.
Women Empowerment & SHG Movement
Dr Gupta mobilized over 10,000 rural women and formed 1005 Self Help Groups (SHGs) across 125 villages. She trained 1400 SHG members in 40 national technical institutes across 20 states of India, empowering them with productive skills, entrepreneurial ability, and leadership.
